St. Joseph the Worker
Parish Community

Mission Statement

As children of a loving Heavenly Father, baptized in Christ Jesus and confirmed by God's gift of the Holy Spirit, we the parishioners of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Fallsington, united with our Holy Father, Shepherd of the universal Church, and our Archbishop of the Church of Philadelphia, understanding the need for sacrifice and generosity as we strive to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Light of the World, by word and example to everyone, do hereby proclaim and affirm that to be effective disciples of Our Divine Lord, we are united in the Church's teachings, and in the diversity of God's many gifts of love, services and ministries; therefore, we are committed:

1) to the worship of God in Jesus' name, particularly through the celebration of the Eucharistic Sacrifice, the Perpetual Adoration of Our Eucharistic Lord in the Most Blessed Sacrament, and the celebration of the other Sacraments instituted by Christ and given to His Church;

2) to bring parents to realize their obligations to themselves and to their children, the future adults of our community, through their loving concern by strengthening the faith of the family, and to actively impart and demonstrate to all young people a commitment of faith to their Church, parish, parish activities, and all parish organizations;

3) to the spiritual rejuvenation of our parish community through a concerted effort to promote harmony, education, and unity by every available means offered to us through the Church, striving to sustain our youth, single adults, families and elderly in Christ's love, thereby developing a sense of community in the parish;

4) to serve the spiritually and materially poor and needy, both in our local community and in our Archdiocese, through Archdiocesan and community projects, so that by our personal commitment and generosity, working with all people of good will, we may bring ourselves, and be instrumental in leading others closer to Jesus in love;

5) to reach out to our brothers and sisters, Christians and non-Christians, who are not fully united with us in faith and worship, in the hope that we will be instruments of God's saving and reconciling grace, so that we might bring them to a new say of living and acting in Him.

We pray that God, who made us His children through Baptism, may guide us by the Spirit to live and teach as Jesus lived and taught. We trust that Mary, the Mother of the Church and our Mother, and St. Joseph the Carpenter of Nazareth, will intercede for us and obtain for us the grace and strength we need as a parish community to be renewed, and to worship the Father with faith-filled and generous hearts through Jesus, His Son, and the gifts from the Holy Spirit.
